About Science@Leuven Scholarships

Every year, the Faculty of Science of KU Leuven together with its alumni association provide scholarships for postgraduate students. Basically, this scholarship is intended for international students.

A number of programs that you can take to get this scholarship are as follows:

Master of Physics
Master of Statistics
Master of Chemistry
Master of Geography

For the 2021-2022 school year, this scholarship application will be opened on October 30, 2020.

What can I get?

The scholarship recipients will receive scholarship funds up to 10,000 Euro for one year. The committee of Science@Leuven Fund will determine the amount of funds provided.

The scholarship fund can be used to cover tuition fees for one year, insurance, and health insurance.

Most master’s programs at KU Leuven are two years long. Students can get this funding again if they are able to give maximum results in the first year.

Who can sign up?

To be able to apply for this scholarship, here are some requirements that you must meet.

I have never studied or worked at KU Leuven before.
Has a bachelor’s degree from a university outside Belgium
Does not have a master’s degree or PhD
Have good academic achievement
Have good English proficiency. Minimum 94 for TOEFL and 7 for IELTS.
Applicants have a strong motivation to apply for a master’s degree program at the Faculty of Science of KU Leuven
Willing to be a program ambassador when it has been accepted.
