Dubai Parks and Resorts ( دبي باركس آند ريزورتس ) is a leisure complex located in Dubai , United Arab Emirates . It is the largest theme park and recreation destination in the Middle East, and includes three theme parks, a water park, a shopping area, and a hotel. More theme and water parks are expected to emerge in the years to come.

This tourist complex officially opened its doors on December 18, 2016

Dubai Parks & Resorts is the first integrated resort in the region. It will be home to three international parks and one water park, as well as Riverland Dubai, the entrance to the Grand Square and family resort.

LEGOLAND® LEGOLAND® Water Park is the only entertainment destination designed for children between the ages of 2 and 12 in the Middle East. The destination offers Lego adventures featuring interactive tours, water slides, models and Lego building experiences for the whole family.
LEGOLAND® Water Park will become the uae’s only destination designed for children between the ages of 2 and 12.
LEGOLAND® Water Park is the first water park designed specifically for children aged 2-12 and their families. Play under the Joker Soccer, build your lego raft, go on a water trip or enjoy other water games.
There are more than 20 games and water slides for the family to enjoy.

History
It was at the end of 2012 that the project for a huge tourist center in Dubai named Jebel Ali was officially confirmed by Meraas Holding, a large local company. At that time, 5 tourism projects were being considered for the area, including a night desert safari and an underwater-themed park

Its construction began in 2014. That same year, the company signed deals with DreamWorks Animation , Columbia Pictures, Merlin Entertainments, and various Bollywood Studies to bring beloved Hollywood and Bollywood characters to its theme parks.

In 2015, Dubai Parks and Resorts signed an agreement with Lionsgate to include a specific thematic area in Motiongate Dubai.

In 2016, the Company announced the start of construction on Six Flags Dubai , the fourth theme park added to the Dubai Parks and Resorts complex. He also released his official song titled All the Wonders of the Universe , created by Academy Award winner Alan Menken. On October 31, 2016, Dubai Parks and Resorts opens the doors of Legoland Dubai and Riverland Dubai . This was followed by the opening of Bollywood Parks Dubai on November 17, 2016 and Motiongate Dubaion December 16, 2016. The official opening took place on December 18, 2016, an event that was broadcast live around the world .

In 2017,
The remaining elements of Dubai Parks and Resorts were launched when the Legoland Water Park and the Lapita Hotel opened on January 2. Later this year, DXB Entertainments announces a partnership with Merlin Entertainments to build a 250-room Lego-themed hotel at the resort.

The Complex
Currently the complex includes 3 leisure parks, a water park, a hotel and an entertainment center.

Motiongate Dubai, a theme park in the world of Cinema.
Bollywood Parks Dubai, a theme park on the world of Bollywood Cinema.
Legoland Dubai, a complex bringing together Legoland Dubai Park and Legoland Water Park.
Riverland Dubai, an entertainment center with restaurants and shops.
Lapita Hotel, a Polynesian themed hotel.
Just south of the complex is the Dubai Outlet Village Mall, a collection of outlet stores or big brands at discount prices.
